Botulinum Toxin (Botox) was licensed specifically for the treatment of chronic migraine in July 2010. The muscle-paralysing injections are popular as a cosmetic treatment but, due to it’s nerve blocking effects, Botox also has a role in treating certain medical conditions including migraine.
